In 2014, the duo made their debut at the famed Madison Square Garden in New York City supporting Bassnectar.īig Gigantic has released five full-length studio albums to date and three recent singles that have taken the duo to new heights, including "Get On Up" (2015), "Good Times Roll" with GRiZ (2016), and "The Little Things" featuring Angela McCluskey (2016). Big Gigantic also has appeared internationally at such festivals as Lollapalooza Argentina and Brazil, and Mad Decent Block Party India. The duo has performed at festivals, including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Ultra Music Festival, Hangout, Austin City Limits, Governors Ball, Electric Forest, Outside Lands, and Bonnaroo. Big Gigantic mixes musically mature melodies with addictive beats and samples that are familiar to a Kanye West or LCD Soundsystem single, and crosses all styles of music, from jazz to hip-hop, and from funk to dubstep. Colorado-based saxophonist/producer Dominic Lalli and drummer Jeremy Salken are veterans of blending electronic dance music with their live instruments to create Big G's truly unique sound, which is as thoughtful as it is danceable. Now, over 10 years later, the duo continues to shape the genre by moving it forward with each new release. The Big Gigantic duo established themselves as pioneers of live electronic music with the band's inception in 2008. The event is presented by the Purdue Student Concert Committee and the Purdue Student Union Board, with support from the Student Fee Advisory Board, the Purdue Sesquicentennial Committee, Purdue Athletics and Office of the Vice Provost for Student Life. This concert is a part of the Take Giant Leaps campaign finale. Due to inclement weather, the free concert will be moved to Elliott Hall of Music.
